February 5 -  Meet, Greet & Eat at Cafe Cruz. Join your Vista Center friends for a fun lunch with laughter, food and camaraderie.  Meet at Cafe Cruz at 11:30 a.m. RSVP to Stacie Grijalva at 831-458-9766 or sgrijalva@vistacenter.org so we can ensure there's room at the table for all.  We specifically selected this restaurant for its mid county location.  Cafe Cruz is easily accessible by public transportation - please let us know if you'd like directions.  

February 5 -  Spanish Support Group led by Ana Bedingfeld, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

February 6 - Tech Lab appointments available.  At these one-hour sessions, you can work on a variety of devices with our tech volunteers and specialists on a one to one basis.  Just let us know when you make your appointment what you are interested in exploring and we will do our best to help you. Contact Stacie Grijalva or call the office 831-458-9766.
 
February 11 - "Get an Earful" Book Club.  10:00 to 11:30 a.m.  We will be discussing Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri.  Want to join us in March?  We will be reading Calypso by David Sadaris.  All readers are welcome!

February 12 - Peer Support Group led by Beverly Crook, 12 to 1:30 p.m. 

February 12 - Beginning Braille Class led by Annie Chapin, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $15 and includes 3 sessions. Contact Patrice Maginnis or call 831-458-9766 to register.

February 13 - Low Vision iPhone class continues. Cost for the classes are $30 for 6 sessions.  10 to 11:30 a.m. Contact Stacie Grijalva for information

February 13 - February's Two-Part Technology Workshop begins. Beginners Bluetooth Keyboard with VoiceOver.  12:30 to 2 p.m. $20 for 2 sessions.  Contact Stacie Grijalva or call the office 831-458-9766 to register or for more information.

February 16 - Driving and Low Vision Workshop. Facilitated by Vista Center's Low Vision Optometrist Dr. Jill Fajardo; Social Worker Ana Bedingfeld; and Technology Manager & Outreach Coordinator Stacie Grijalva.  10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  This is a FREE workshop but space is limited.  Email Stacie Grijalva or call 831-458-9766 to reserve your spot.

February 16 - Game Day!  Join your Vista Center community for a fun afternoon as we explore playing cards using Braille and also learn how to play Bunko.  1 to 4 p.m. Led by Bevie Crook and Patrice Maginnis.  

February 18 - Vista Center closed for President's Day. 

February 19 - Beginning Braille Class led by Annie Chapin, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. 

February 19  - English Support Group led by Ana Bedingfeld, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

February 23 - Technology Users Group.  Sarah Caplener, Senior Manager of Product Management with Alexa at Amazon, will demonstrate the accessibility features on the Amazon Fire Tablet using Alexa. 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Louden Nelson Center, 301 Center Street, Santa Cruz.  Room 5. Vista Center Santa Cruz's hours office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our office will be closed on Monday, February 18 in observance of President's Day.
