Add Vista Center to your Will or Trust
Speak to your advisor about adding Vista Center to your Will or Trust. A bequest not only leaves a legacy of impact, but it also may reduce the tax burden associated with inheritance, as bequests are exempt from federal estate taxes. Bequests are also revocable – meaning you can change at any time!
There are several types of bequests that an individual can make:
- A Specific Bequest naming a dollar amount that you would like to be disbursed to Vista Center.
- A Percentage Bequest naming a certain percentage of your estate that you would like to be disbursed to Vista Center (5%, 10%, 20%, etc.)
- A Residual Bequest naming a certain percentage of your estate balance AFTER all other bequests have been disbursed
- A Contingent Bequest named as an alternative if the original bequest can’t be fulfilled. It is common, for example, that an individual bequests a share of their estate to go to a relative, with the contingency that if the relative has passed, the share shall instead go to charity.
