UPCOMING EVENT

Vista Center Presents: Tour the Accessible Solar System!

The Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo will be open exclusively to Vista Voyager families. The newest exhibit is fully tactile and multisensory experience to enhancing learning about our magnificent solar system.

The Voyage Solar System Model, is a 1 to 10-billion scale model of the Solar System. All of the dimensions in this model, including the size of and distance between planets, are created to scale. Voyage is a program of the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education and Exhibitology. The exhibition is designed for permanent installation in communities worldwide. We are excited to be joining this community which aims to “celebrate our remarkable capacity as a race of explorers to decipher our place in space, and through scientific inquiry, reveal the majesty of the universe”.

All are welcome including parents, grandparents, and siblings. Our students and families love visiting the PA Junior Museum & Zoo! The staff go the extra mile to ensure learning is presented in an accessible manner including tactile exposure, sounds, smells, and descriptions.

  • Take a tour of the Voyage Solar System Model and then enjoy the full museum and zoo open just for Vista Center
