Vista Voyagers builds character, confidence, and independence in students through educational and fun community events. This is a great way to meet other students and families in our Vista community! All events are focused on the Expanded Core Curriculum.
KraftyKids Clay Workshop
Join the Vista Voyagers as we partner up with KraftyKids for a hands-on sensory experience designed to support children with varying degrees of vision loss through creative play and social interaction. This workshop utilizes the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) to foster tactile efficiency and emotional expression.

- Sensory Warm-Up: A welcoming introduction to get everyone comfortable.
- Animal Guessing Game: A tactile activity where children identify stuffed animals by touch and sound.
- Group Discussion: Exploring how animals show emotions and connecting them to our own feelings.
- Clay Art Activity: A creative session where children use air-dry clay to build an “Animal with Feelings,” focusing on texture and form.
- Sharing Circle: A time for children to describe their creations and celebrate their work.
