Guiding with Safety and Compassion

Description

Community Workshop on Human Guide Techniques

Want to help someone who is blind or visually impaired – but not sure how? You’re not alone. Many well-intentioned people want to assist, yet lack the knowledge to do so safely and respectfully. This hands-on workshop gives you the confidence and skills to offer support that truly empowers.

Why It Matters: By learning Human Guide Techniques, you help create a community where people with vision loss feel safer, respected, and more independent – and where assistance is offered with confidence, dignity, and care.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wishes to be more inclusive, including educators and school staff, healthcare and public service workers, students and local business staff, and friends, family, and neighbors of people with vision loss!
