    Judging Criteria

To provide comprehensive feedback and evaluate the potential of your venture, our judges will assess pitches based on the following criteria:

Does the solution demonstrate a deep understanding and empathy towards the target audience’s needs?

Is the value proposition compelling and evident? Have customer feedback or market research validated the product/solution? What unique advantages does it offer?

Does the entrepreneurial team have the necessary skills and experience? Have they attracted credible advisors that understand the marketplace to guide them?

Is there a clear and realistic strategy to enter and capture the market or to grow your market share? Are there actionable steps and timelines? How does the venture position itself against competitors?

Is the profit potential clearly identified and realistic? Are the financial projections credible?

Is there a clear path to market success or potential for exit/acquisition, backed by a solid understanding of the venture’s financial needs?

Don’t miss this opportunity to accelerate your journey towards success. We look forward to seeing you at Pitch Day and witnessing the innovative solutions you bring to the community.

As a first-time participant in PitchAbility, I was struck by the diversity and depth of the entrants. It sure made our job as judges hard to pick a winner! PitchAbility is a great opportunity to recognize innovation in the projects shared and build a sense of community through the networking that happened.
John Tang, Senior Principal Researcher at Microsoft

As a blind person and former accessibility professional, I’ve had the privilege of attending both Vista Pitch Competitions, and I can say without hesitation: PitchAbility is unlike anything else in our space. It’s not a sprawling multi-day conference. It’s focused, it’s intimate, and it happens right in the heart of Silicon Valley… What sets PitchAbility apart from well-known assistive technology or blindness conferences is what’s happening on that stage… These are startups that have been designing and building by, with, and for blind people from day one – with nothing to lose and everything to prove. That’s where real disruption comes from. If you have the means to support PitchAbility, I urge you to do it. Big dreams require real funding. And the blind community deserves solutions that don’t just get pitched – they get built, scaled, and delivered.
